Description

Located in the vibrant hub of Edinburgh's West End is a truly outstanding period property. This townhouse showcases the best of the city's Georgian architecture, with impeccable period features such as high ceilings, ornate cornicing and large sash windows. It has only recently been renovated to the very highest standard and evokes a feeling of luxury and grandeur with sumptuous furnishings and beautiful artwork adorning the walls.

The hallway provides a grand entrance, with sweeping staircase leading up to the 1st and 2nd floors. The ground floor has a spacious and light filled sitting room, with working gas fire and plenty of stylish sofas and armchairs, perfect for relaxing in after a day out. The dining kitchen is beautifully decorated and has a table to seat 8 guests. There is an inviting window seat with cushions, overlooking gardens to the rear. The kitchen itself is fully equipped with everything required to fully enjoy your stay, including a Nespresso machine. Also on the ground floor is a utility room and shower room.

The beautiful staircase leads up to to the main drawing room and two bedrooms. The drawing room is spacious and beautifully furnished; a wonderful room for you to enjoy with friends and family. Overlooking the rear garden on this floor is the tranquil master bedroom, luxuriously furnished with a super king bed. A door leads into a large bathroom equipped with walk in shower as well as a roll top bath. This bathroom can also be accessed from the hall. A second bedroom is located on this floor, furnished with a double bed.

The top floor of the townhouse has a further two bedrooms and bathroom. The rooms on this floor have wonderfully quirky shapes, with curved walls and sloping ceilings. Each bedroom has a ziplink bed, so that they may each be set up with twin beds or with a superking bed. The bathroom is lovely, if a little cosy - watch your head!

It is worth noting that the house has two Sonos sound bars and a Sonos sound box which allow guests to play their own music. Each bedroom comes equipped with its own hairdryer.

This is a magnificent house and a great deal of love and care has been put into refurbishing it to its full glory. It would make a truly special holiday home for guests visiting Edinburgh - although it may be hard to actually venture out into the city, once you've settled in!

This property is not suitable for stag / hen, single sex groups or parties and the person making the booking must be over the age of 30. Whilst we are very happy to accept family bookings, we ask that only babies or children over the age of 5 stay. There are quite a number of stairs and no stairgates, which means that we would prefer that no toddlers/young children visit. A damage deposit of £750 is required one week before arrival and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure.
