Visiting The Meadows Park in Edinburgh

The Meadows is a great place to bring the family. It has three play-parks, one of which is the largest in Edinburgh. It's a popular spot for walkers and runners. And if you’re feeling sporty, there’s a putting green, tennis courts, cycle paths and countless games of football going on. Otherwise, do what we do. Lay out a blanket, break out a picnic (or even a barbeque) and watch the world go by.

What's on in The Meadows

The Meadows hosts many public events throughout the year. It even has its own festival, The Meadows Festival, which is run by the community every summer. The weekend event features live music, stalls, food, family activities and lots more.

Many sporting and charity events take place here. For example, The Meadows Junior ParkrunThe Meadows Marathon and the up-coming Gung Ho! inflatables obstacle course.

The Meadows also becomes the location for many events during the Edinburgh Festival in August. With two spectacular circus tents and a buzzing bar, it's a great venue to catch a show.
