A simply unmissable and much loved attraction in Edinburgh, with so many things to see you'll return again and again!
The National Museum of Scotland is a fascinating place to visit, an ideal day out for our guests staying near Chambers Street.
This wonderful museum reopened in 2011 after a full refurbishment It has the most incredible space inside, with vast ceilings and galleries overlooking the central hall. And the displays are equally impressive. There are different galleries to explore, such as Natural World (where you'll see some incredible life size animal models), World Cultures, Scottish History and plenty more. The museum is so beautifully laid out and full of many treasures, appealing to all ages and offering something new at every visit.
The National Museum of Scotland is a real favourite with families. We probably visit at least once a week!
There are a number of different spaces created specifically for children, with a 'baby zone' on the ground floor, offering musical instruments, dress up, beanbags and story books, along with plenty of games. Upstairs there is a great area for older kids, with a sandpit and brushes for budding archaeologists. Throughout the museum there are interactive exhibits and displays to get everyone involved in learning.
There is a lively cafe on the third floor and a comfy restaurant on the basement level, both of which provide delicious meals. And at the very top of the building, you'll find the fine dining Tower Restaurant. With beautiful views of Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town, it's perfect for a special treat.

"What an amazing property. The rooms, décor, equipment, furnishings, etc were all high end and luxurious. Brilliant central location. We would highly recommend a stay here. Only problem is you might not want to leave."
"An exceptional place! Next to the high street and close to the public transport facilities. The place is sparkling clean and very well maintained. It is spacious and cozy. Lorna is extremely helpful and quick on her responses. 10/10 will stay at this place when I go back to Edinburgh."
"Lorna was excellent at keeping in touch and very accommodating. The property is beautifully decorated and very well appointed throughout. Great location, close to Princes Street, buses and tram stop. The Castle, Royal Mile are all in walking distance."
"A very special property with many special touches to make you truly feel at home. A fantastic location to explore all the delights of Edinburgh"
