If the sun is shining, there's no better park in Edinburgh for the kids than East Meadows Play Park. Different zones for age groups, this park will please younger and older kids. Cafe and toilet block next to the park.

Camera Obscura is Edinburgh's oldest visitor attraction, with several floors of fun including illusions, tricks, puzzles and wonders.

See the world famous pandas, travel through the Tiger walkway or visit the new Koala enclosure! Edinburgh Zoo is a great day out, with plenty of playparks as well as animal enclosures.

Gorgie City Farm is a community-run farm right here in the city. Children can get up close to the animals and learn about life on a working farm. There's also a playpark and cafe on site.

The Scottish Storytelling Centre on the Royal Mile offers a programme of wonderful storytelling events for all ages to enjoy.

Let the kids burn off some energy at Wonderworld Soft Play in Leith. A custom-built indoor play area with everything from trampolines to go-karting.

The Yard is an adventure play ground designed as a fun and safe environment for disabled children and their families. On Sundays it is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to play.
